Roadshow is a new iPad app which has arrived to let you save your favorites for later and it gives iPad users a way to collect online videos to watch later, even if they won’t have an Internet connection. The app contains a web browser and a starter set of bookmarks, browse video-heavy sites you like and look for videos. Roadshow doesn’t support YouTube and pulls a thumbnail up to its video shelf for the clip gets downloaded on the spot. The free version of Roadshow includes banner ads and limits you to 15 videos. If you want unlimited videos and freedom from ads, then you have to pay $4.99…………

The new Summer Pignic update follows on from the recent Angry Birds Mine And Dine Android update which added 15 new levels to the game and the update brings thirty new levels, all built around the summer. This is to presumably make UK gamers feel depressed by our lack of sun and the new levels feature sunny skies, pigs in sunglasses, pig-shaped clouds, flowers, summery hats, doughnuts, jugs of lemonade and the usual assortment of exploding crates and unreliable building materials. Developer Steve Troughton-Smith reminded via Twitter that the N9 will ship with Alien Dalvik, which means you’ll be able to run Android apps on the N9 and Alien Dalvik software system runs Android apps on non-Android devices which will also be available to run on MeeGo later this year……….

Apple sued Samsung for allegedly ripping off the iPhone and iPad, Samsung’s request to see Apple’s next iPhone and iPad has been rejected by a US judge as the two tech giants battle in court over smartphone patents. Samsung had argued it needed to see what Cupertino was working on in order to judge whether its own future products might be infringing, but the court didn’t really buy it………….

Recent market rumors have indicated that Apple’s next iPhone (Rumored iPhone 5) will likely come with a dual LED Flash and Taiwan-based LED firms Everlight Electronics, Edison Opto and Lite-On Technology have been put forward as possible suppliers. Apple has reportedly decreased its orders for the Lumileds high-power LED flash products nd has recently switched the orders for LED flashes to one of these companies. Edison is said to have a foot up in the game since it has already started shipping its high-power LED flashes to phone vendors and the dual-flash setup will accompany a rumored 8-megapixel rear-facing camera & 5-megapixel front facing camera……………

Veteran MMO City of Heroes has announced that it will move to a free to play model later this year and will see current subscribers known as ‘VIP players’ while others play for free, with micro transactions integrated through an in-game store. City of Heroes will also include a loyalty system to offer subscriber like benefits to those who do not take out a subscription, but do purchase a significant amount of in game items. Free to play players can achieve a level cap of 50 and will be able to create a couple of characters across all servers…….

iOS simulator is a program for your computer that lets you test out any iOS apps you developed for the platform and now, a developer has somehow managed to find a way to get the iOS simulator running on his Mac, with the Dell ST2220T touchscreen monitor. He managed to turn his 21-inch touchscreen display into a simulator for the iPad with use of the Touch-Base driver for OS X……….
Google sites raked in more than a billion unique visitors in the month of May, the first time an Internet company has reached that milestone and traffic to Google properties has increased by 8.4 percent over the past year to reach the billion hit mark. Mozilla has launched Firefox 5, a new version of the popular open source Web browser and this is the first update that Mozilla has issued since adopting a new release management strategy that has drastically shortened the Firefox development cycle. Mozilla has successfully delivered Firefox 5 to users a mere three months after the release of Firefox 4 and the new version is unsurprisingly light on user-facing changes due to the shortened cycle, but has some decent improvements under the hood. It also proved to be fairly robust during our tests, which suggests that the browser’s quality hasn’t suffered from the transition to the new release management strategy. Firefox 5 is the addition of support for CSS animations, an experimental CSS3 feature that allows Web developers to do keyframe-style animation on CSS properties………..

Intel launches first Sandy Bridge chips for Ultrabooks and the difference between these new chips and the existing Sandy Bridge processors is that they run at slower frequencies nd have a power rating of 17 watts, compared with 35 watts for the standard Sandy Bridge processors. The three new processors–all dual-cores with the same on-die graphics–include the 1.7GHz Core i5-2557M, 1.7GHz Core i7-2637M and 1.8GHz Core i7-2677M and also the Core i7 versions have a larger L3 cache and faster Turbo modes…………..

Apple granted patent for portable multifunction devices with multitouch screens and the USPTO has awarded the Cupertino crew a patent that’s sure to raise few eyebrows amongst its competitors. Apple’s patent essentially gives it ownership of the capacitive multitouch interface the company pioneered with its iPhone, to produce a new round of lawsuits over the now-ubiquitous multitouch interfaces used in smartphones made by the likes of HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Research in Motion, Nokia, and others that run operating systems similar in nature to Apple’s iOS…………

Philips new Fidelio Speakers with AirPlay has just hands-on. The flagship Fidelio SoundSphere DS9800W will start ship in June with a price tag of about $800. We previously heard that the DS8800W is more affordable however, the small demo room with deep, rich Fire and Rain, sans-wires and can do the same in your own home when it ships for $400 beginning next month.

Marvell Kinoma’s take on a “new open app platform” targeted at everything from mobile devices to desktops to embedded handhelds. The company is finally showing off a live version of the software in the form of Kinoma Play, an implementation of the platform that runs atop Android 2.2 Froyo. The Marvell also had a massive touchscreen loaded up with a desktop version of the software running in a simulator atop OS X for eager onlookers to fool around with.
The company announced the launch of the VIZIO VTAB1008. The tablet will be a WiFi-only device with an 8″ (1024 x 768) capacitive touchscreen display. VIZIO has just announced a brand new tablet for it’s VIA (VIZIO Internet Apps) Plus ecosystem.
