U.S. antitrust regulators gave Apple approval to buy certain assets to be sold by bankrupt telecom maker Nortel Networks Corp and the patents cover wireless, data and optical networking, voice, Internet, semiconductors and other technologies. Google offered more than $900 million for the patent portfolio from the bankrupt Canadian telecom-equipment maker in April and would be given the right to terminate Nortel’s existing agreements if it acquires the patents……….

We are not sure about the device is “super confidential” or not, but we’ve just come across yet another Nokia N9 lookalike with a non-MeeGo operating system on board. But there is no way to verify that the Android home-screen we see bellow is a legitimate Gingerbread installation and not a mere screenshot.
iPad accounts for 97 percent of US tablet traffic online and the slate segment is still young and accounts for only a tiny percentage of total traffic. T-Mobile USA has let go with an interesting statistic, has over a million iPhones on its network even though it doesn’t offer the device and the users cut down T-Mobile SIMs to work but don’t get 3G or 4G data speeds. Most of the iPhones on the T-Mobile network are pre-iPhone 4 and the company is working on adding Micro SIM cards as an option for customers, although a release date hasn’t been announced………..
The device, codenamed Sea Ray is appears similar to the MeeGo-based N9 that Nokia announced and it has a plastic case (or perhaps polycarbonate, as Nokia calls the N9′s base material), a Gorilla glass display and one more hardware button than the N9. Windows Phone 7 Sea Ray runs Windows Phone 7 Mango, the latest version of the OS and would be the fruit of a controversial partnership announced this year, which saw Nokia abandon its own Symbian smartphone OS in favor of Microsoft’s mobile platform…………..

Hulu Plus for Android is now on the market, but the bad thing is that you may not be able to install it yet. The official Hulu Blog has just been updated with news that only six phones the Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix is allowed to use it. But Hulu is promising support for more Android phones as the year progresses.
