Sony’s Qriocity video streaming service puts all the films and TV shows at your fingertips. Sony is going to launch of the video service for Xperia phones starting on August 1st. The service will provide with an intuitive and user friendly way to buy or rent movies and TV shows from NBC, Universal International Television Distribution, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Warner Bros.

Alibaba Cloud Computing, a developer of advanced data-centric cloud computing services and a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, has announced its internally developed cloud-based mobile device operating system. This OS is expected to release in September. The new OS ships on a rebranded Tian Hua K-Touch, the W700, for ¥2,680 or $416. Accorting to engaget users receiving 100GB to store their contact information, call logs, text messages, notes and photos that is accessible from both PCs and Aliyun-toting handsets. Digi International today introduced the XBee Wi-Fi, an embedded module that enables industry leading low power, serial-to-Wi-Fi networking in the popular XBee form factor. The wireless module of Arduino tinkerers XBee Wi-Fi offers 802.11 b/g/n networking and flexible SPI and UART serial interfaces. The China Times claims that Apple will launch iPhone 5 in the second week of September and the iPad 3 has been delayed until after Thanksgiving due to component shortages. If these pictures prove to be genuine and this prototype hasn’t already been abandoned, the idea of plastic instead of glass and possibly other lower-end components could very easily make for a cheaper iPhone that’s still binary compatible with the existing App Store apps and perhaps even current accessories……………..

Lockheed Martin’s HALE-D airship learns to fly, makes a crash landing and the HALE-D blimp was designed to float above the jet stream at 60,000 feet and can be used for reconnaissance, intelligence and other purposes often accomplished by satellites, but at lower cost. The high-altitude ship was being tested as a communications relay for the army and the ship is 270 feet long, 70 feet in diameter and filled with helium and air, which were released gradually to bring the ship to Earth……………..
