This is a full navigation app with offline maps that you can buy for just 99 cents (the first time) and the nly catch is that it can be used with its full features for only 30 days. After that, you can add another 30 days for $2.99, a full year for $29.99, or use the app with limited functionality and this kind of pricing makes the app a good choice for people who travel to different parts of the world and know that they only need to use the navigation there for a short period of time……………

Sony announces market launch of Sony Tablet, two optimally designed android devices deliver portability, easy handling and an immersive entertainment experience. Available in mid to late September, the wedge-shaped Tablet S combines a 9.4-inch display with a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and its design makes the Tablet S a bit bulky on its top end, the tablet’s odd shape also makes it easier to hold for long periods of time, as its weight is centered closer to the wrist. Sony is selling the 16GB version of the device for a solid $499 and the 32GB version for $599 and the Tablet P akes the cake as far as unique design goes…………….

Apple Working For New Features In iOS Location Services

Apple is working on exciting new features for iOS location services reveals a job posting for an iOS QA Location Engineer and the job posting obviously doesn’t mention what the feature are. A few Apple patent filings have surfaced recently that might offer a glimpse at what the company is planning and earlier this month a patent filing revealed that Apple is looking into improve Maps by implementing schematic maps that distort data to emphasize more important areas and deemphasize areas that are less important. The posting also requests applicants to have familiarity with typical sensors in mobile devices, namely GPS chips as well as navigation algorithms and suggesting that Apple might be looking into developing its own turn-by-turn navigation technology, similar to the one provided in Google Maps………………

CNet reports that Apple has finally contacted Carl Frega about a prototype laptop that he had put on sale earlier this month and Carl Frega, a North Carolina resident, purchased the laptop on Craigslist for parts, after discovering it was a prototype he posted images of the notebook online but never managed to generate any interested over the device. Frega repaired the MacBook and sold it via Craigslist, ays after buying the machine, the new buyer took it to the Genius Bar citing random issues and the Genius Bar technicians failed to recognize the device as a prototype and denied service on the machine due to third party parts……………..
