Apple has released a new version of iTunes for developer testing of the functionality of iCloud’s new iTunes Match feature for storing songs in the cloud for flexible access from mobile devices and iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1 with iTunes Match which’ll let you sign up for a yearly $24.99 fee. iTunes Match first scans your library and compiles a list of songs from what it finds, doesn’t matter if it’s a song you’ve bought through iTunes, one you’ve ripped from a CD, torrented or even made yourself. Songs that iTunes recognizes are streamed from Apple’s master recording at 256kbps and you will then be able to access the entire library from any Mac or iOS device with an Internet connection………………..

TomTom’s Go Live navigation service is more useful with advanced travel-specific apps by Yelp, TripAdvisor, Expedia, and Twitter all from the comfort of its 5-inch touchscreen. Goint to be available in retail and online stores in October as “the world’s first portable navigation device with a suite of popular travel apps,” the Go Live 1535M. The Yelp app, let you to search Yelp’s online database of locations by name or by browsing categories such as Hotels & Travel, Restaurants, Nightlife, or Art & Entertainment. For each returned search result, the Yelp app will provide a user-generated average rating along with the standard address and phone number information. MOG announced the availability of a new app for the Boxee Box by D-Link that allows you to pick and choose from the 11.5 million song from company’s strong library right on your TV. The 320 kbps, to be offered as a native app for Boxee and album art in 1080p that you can peruse using your double-sided Boxee remote and a welcome expansion of the media box’s music repertoire which currently includes Last.FM and Pandora. If you like to try it first, you can get 14-days for free, but after that you have to get into a package of $4.99-a-month basic account or a $9.99-per-month Primo account.

Great news for all the people who bought HP Touchpads with hopes of having Android run on it in the future, it looks like the CyanogenMod team have been able to boot CM7 on the HP Touchpad and the goal is to have a multi-boot solution where one could boot into Android, WebOS and other operating systems. Unfortunately it was not stated as to when users can expect to see CM7 be ready for public consumption and if the idea of Android on the TouchPad is enticing, then CM7 on HP’s slate will surely make you swoon………….

For Mac users who have not yet upgraded to Lion, new evidence suggests Apple will add iCloud support to its predecessor, Snow Leopard in the form of an update and Mac preference pane in Tiger mentioned that iCloud requires a computer running Mac OS X 10.6.9 or later. OS X Snow Leopard version 10.6.9 has not yet been released to the general public and iCloud is currently in beta but is expected to have a full public release alongside iOS 5 at some point in Fall 2011……………

There is a limit of 5 minutes when it comes to remote viewing with the app and that might help save you from running into data overages when using a 3G or 4G cell network……………

DigiTimes dispels rumors of a 4-inch iPhone 5 display but says the panel could get slightly bigger, which combined with a thinner bezel, will make the screen look larger and the ouchscreen panel of the next iPhone will be less than 4-inch or 3.5- to 3.7-inch. The current iPhone 4 has a 3.5-inch screen, in comparison and the iPhone 5 will be designed with a thinner bezel to make the screen appear larger…………….

More evidence points to next generation iPhones carrying iPhone 4 sized screens and it carrying a similar Engineering Verification Test 1 designation and dated March 3rd, 2011. The part consists of the entire front assembly for the N94 device and the esign is entirely consistent with the iPhone 4, showing the same amount of bezel edge on the sides of the screen and also a hole for the traditional iPhone home button………………..

LG has rather predictably come to the rescue with the 3D Game Converter, an Open GL powered piece of software that allows you to switch 2D applications straight into 3D and the software is set to be included in the first maintenance release for the Optimus 3D, which will be pushed out around October time depending on the carrier. The engine can be used by developers to quickly and easily release 3D versions of their existing 2D games and it will end up providing customers with more content for their 3D-enabled hardware. The Optimus 3D will get the 3D Game Converter via an update scheduled for October and will be on display at IFA in Berlin and also will probably be running some 3D games………….

A leaked memo from Sprint advising employees to simply state no comment when asked about the iPhone has added fuel to the fire on rumors that the carrier will begin offering Apple’s next-generation iPhone this fall and the Sprint dealers are also advised to refer customers to the Sprint.com Newsroom. This doesn’t confirm that a Sprint iPhone handset is coming and it does lead us to believe that Sprint might have something up its sleeve, something that it wants to keep secret………….
