Haifa-based computer-on-module and miniature PC maker CompuLab has expanded its Trim Slice family of compact systems and introduced the Trim Slice H barebone and Trim Slice H250 system based around Nvidia’s Tegra 2 SoC and its either available preconfigured with Linux OS on a 250GB hard drive fitted within the Trim-Slice miniature fanless case or can be purchased without OS and diskless. The Trim Slice H Diskless will allow you to add your own HDD or SSD for $279, while the $319 H250 comes with Linux pre-installed on a 250GB HDD and both of these beasts will showcase 1GHz chips, 1GB RAM, HDMI and DVI ports, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in 802.11n WiFi, 4 USB ports, 2 SD slots, an RS232 serial port and USB Bluetooth adapter…………

Google signs lease for Sunnyvale offices with space for 2,900 workers and the Sunnyvale campus would mark Google’s largest presence in Silicon Valley outside of Mountain View. Google this year alone has committed to adding at least 1.9 million square feet in Mountain View and Sunnyvale, the equivalent of a major regional shopping mall and is intends to make 2011 its biggest hiring year ever, planning to add 6,000 employees worldwide. Google’s new Sunnyvale lease was previously reported by the Bay Area News Group and Google intends to build a new campus adjacent to its existing headquarters……………

Apple started seeding OS X Lion 10.7.2 11C37 and iCloud beta 7 to developers, iCloud beta 7 build includes updated versions of Documents & Data Cloud, Find my Mac and Back to my Mac. The new Lion update is a pre-release version of OS X Lion 10.7.2 provided solely for the purpose of testing iCloud features and is not an official update build. If you’ve installed any previous versions of 10.7.2, you have to revert back to 10.7 using the supplied tool before you update and the iCloud update is beta 7 and is primarily being used by developers to test the syncing features of iCloud………….

Apparently the flashing tools Microsoft has been using to update Windows Phone 7.5 beta to the RTM version has leaked onto the internet and there is a reasonably good chance that flashing the RTM, which is only slightly different from the 7712 build out already, will leave your device in a state not updatable by the official release, but when you made a NoDo back-up, it should be possible to get back to the straight and narrow. This is still considered a developer release, which simply means that it will work on any Windows Phone 7 device without modifications and Windows Phone Mango is the long wished-for major update for Windows Phone 7, aimed at building on the first-generation platform, which is expected to bring Microsoft’s smartphone division up to par with its main competitors, mainly Android and iOS……………..
It was back in early June that Steve Jobs revealed what his plans were for the large piece of land Apple purchased from Hewlett Packard, located in its home district of Cupertino and now the Cupertino City Council has just made more details available about the Spaceship Campus. Apple’s plans to build a 2.8 million square-foot spaceship-like circular office building in the city and the city is currently in the midst of its review process of Apple’s plans. Apple’s proposal would then undergo a development review and public hearings at the Planning Commission and the City Council, the first step of the review involves an environmental impact assessment that will evaluate traffic, noise, air quality and will provide the public with an opportunity for comment………….
