Finally Skype release update to version 2.5 for Android and its list of officially supported handsets and tablets. They officially released a list of 14 new Android devices, including Honeycomb tablets for brings video calls. This list include the Atrix, Bionic and Nexus One, Skype is inviting the Xoom, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Acer’s Iconia. LEGO is jumping into the mobile gaming arena with its first product that combines both software and bricks directly and the Life of George is LEGO’s newest building set, a collection of 144 LEGO bricks and a mobile game that lets you build different LEGO models and take pictures of them on your smartphone. Lego Life Of George iPhone interactive game set will be available to purchase from the 1st October from the online Lego Store for $29.99 and an Android version of the Lego app is currently being considered by Lego but no release date has been announced.The $30 kit promises 12 levels featuring 10 photos each, and varying difficulty levels, there’s a two player game and a creation mode which lets you create playable models out of your own snapshots………………

Apple has posted a potential fix for those experience flickering Thunderbolt displays and the fix hasn’t been publicly announced but has been provided to users seeking help on the issue at Apple’s Discussion Forums. According to the company’s notes included with the update, the 24-inch LED Cinema Display Firmware Update will only install when connected to a Mac with the Thunderbolt interconnect and Apple also warns that using a Mini DisplayPort extender cable may not resolve the issue. Users are advised to disconnect non-essential USB and FireWire devices before applying the 926KB update and the firmware requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later……………

Apple has reportedly added SKUs to its inventory system for two new iPhone models, as well as SKUs for three new iPod touches and the new iPhone SKUs may simply reference new iPhone 4 models. The two iPhone SKUs have attached to them a codename of N90A, since it includes major internal hardware upgrades that will likely constitute a new codename and it is currently being speculated that N90A would therefore be some variation of the iPhone 4. According to a new study from mobile advertising firm inMobi, 39% of UK and 41% of US mobile phone users would buy Apple‘s highly anticipated iPhone 5, but before you chalk this up to the power of the Apple brand, here’s another statistic for you: if Apple only releases an update to iPhone 4 (presumably called iPhone 4S), that figure drops to 12% of UK mobile users. The study further finds that over 50% of those users will make the purchase within the first six months of the iPhone 5 launch and the study finds that consumers are most hopeful for improved battery life; increased processing speed; higher-quality screen resolution; and stronger phone service in the rumored Apple smartphone…………………

Apple may discontinue production of the iPod shuffle and the iPod classic with the iPhone 5 on the horizon, the sun may soon set on two of Apple’s long-time staples, the iPod shuffle and iPod classic. The classic is a holdover from 10 years of iPod existence, bearing many similarities to the original iPod and the shuffle is basically the same form factor as the nano, minus a screen. The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office has denied Apple’s appeal to register a trademark for the term Multi-touch and Apple originally applied for the trademark on January 9th, 2007, the same day the iPhone was introduced. That application was denied by a lawyer for the USPTO and Apple then appealed to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. The appeal was dismissed as the trademark attorney thinks the term multitouch is pretty much generic by now and it was concluded that the term does not only identify the technology underneath, but rather describes a method of usage of a device………………

The Oregon Trail a fantastic game developed by Gameloft. This game is cost $5.99 in iTunes but good news is its totally free today to download. Nice graphics, game play and presentation much attractable also a way to learn alot of things. Every North America has a memory of Oregon Trail. Someone on your wagon train at some point died of cholera and someone inevitably drowned while fording a river. Through all of this misery and pain, we all as youngsters learned some valuable lessons.
