When the launch of Google TV was announced there was a great optimism from Technorati and no one knows what went wrong that this did not make in the market as big as this was expected following the grand success of Android. Despite launching Google TV with Logitech and Sony as key partners, they did not have the take off as expected and Google announced that early next week it will launch a major software update intended to significantly improve the functionality of the Google TV software. Google admits that Google TV has had its problems, but with this update they hope to address some of them and owners of Sony’s Google TV-equipped televisions will see the update as early as next week, Logitech Revue owners will have to wait until soon thereafter…………………
Jolicloud heads to the actual cloud, Joli OS gets open-sourced and announces latest beta version of JoliOS, which will allow for access from your iPhone, Android and other devices. At present the Jolicloud service is in Beta phase only and they will soon be launching an Android and an iOS based application for both smartphones and tablets, though this mobile applications users will be able to access the Jolicloud service anywhere using both Wi-Fi and mobile GPRS. Joli OS has been open sourced and is now available to the community, if you’re interested in finding out more about the whole ordeal, sign up for the private beta…………………

Ford is trying to make up for some lost time and revenue here and they are not the first to do this kind of technology, they are pushing their own stay in your own lane package starting with the Explorer. The Driver Alert System is slated to launch in 2012 and it will include new lane keeping tech, part of the system will detect drowsy drivers and also the goal is to keep sleepyheaded drivers from destroying lives. In this alert system a camera setup will monitor one’s lane position and if they drift too far away from the straight and narrow, their steering wheel will vibrate…………………

Siri, the voice control assistant, is only available with new iPhone 4S. As the feature is getting good review so most old iPhone 4 owner was wondering why its not available for iPhone 4. Previous try by 9to5mac was able to port Siri’s interface in iPhone 4, but it was not working, Now @stroughtonsmith and @chpwn have been able to make it working completely in iPhone 4 & iPod Touch 4G. ARM this week disclosed technical details of its new ARMv8 architecture, the first ARM architecture to include a 64-bit instruction set and ARMv8 broadens the ARM architecture to embrace 64-bit processing and extends virtual addressing, building on the rich heritage of the 32-bit ARMv7 architecture upon, which market leading cores such as the Cortex-A9 and Cortex-A15 processors are built. The ARMv8 architecture specifications are available now to partners under license with the company planning to disclose processors based on ARMv8 during 2012 with consumer and enterprise prototype systems expected in 2014……………

Apple has reportedly been at work on a full-fledged high-definition television set for years, but the company’s recent launch of Siri for the iPhone 4S is believed to be one of the final puzzle pieces necessary for Apple to launch its own TV and Jobs had reportedly been pushing engineers at Apple for years to develop a new interface for living room TVs. In new report Nick Bilton from The New York Times says that Apple is indeed working on a television product that could be publicly announced in late 2012, which released in early 2013 and Apple has quite a bit of work to do before the set is ready for prime time…………….
