Yahoo, NBC Join Hands To Launch ‘Fantasy Football Live’

Yahoo and NBC have joined hands to gain a foothold in the football-centric audience. Although currently, ESPN takes the lead in offering the best coverage of most sports, both online and offline, Yahoo has joined hands with NBC to launch two new shows.

The two new shows aim to bring a different angle of coverage to both offline and online football coverage. One of these shows is called ‘Fantasy Football Live – Thursday Night!’ This show will air every week, starting from August 1st, and viewers can watch it on NBC sports between 6:30 – 7 p.m. The show will the continue online and you can watch it on Yahoo! Sports from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The other show is called ‘SportsDash with Yahoo Sports.’ This show is meant more to offer analysis as well as let you see the highlights of the happening football events. It will start from August 19th and can be watched on NBC Sports from 12 – 1 p.m.

After the TV broadcast, parts of the show will then be streamed online from 1 – 1:15 p.m. It remains to be seen how successful NBC and Yahoo are in breaking ground on the sports front. It will certainly be hard for the duo, given the presence of giants such as ESPN already covering football very actively. But with the right kind of focus and a solid social media presence, these two shows may just become successes.
