Apple has released a firmware update for the mid-2010 iMac systems (both 21.5- and 27-inch models) that addresses a problem where the systems were not booting properly. The update is a small 767KB download that should be available through Software Update for relevant system.

According to the images posted by Engadget, a retailer in Belgium has already received the first bunch of white iPhone 4′s and has already started to sell them online on its store. They have got both 16 and 32GB models of the white iPhone 4.

Auto Location is a new tweak that automatically toggles your iPhone’s Location Services Off when you’re not using an app that requires GPS. When you’re not using an app that requires GPS, Auto Location will turn the iPhone’s Location Services off. When you open an app that requires Location Services, Auto Location turns it back on.

Just two weeks in after the official release of CM7 the CyanogenMod team has released a CM v7.0.2, which fixes a lot of bugs, and brings support for the Motorola Droid. The bug fixes include some GPS issues and proximity sensor issues, which most of the CM7 users were facing.

Apart from not having 4G capabilities, the smartphone has specifications that can match any of the best smartphones. Google has announced the WebM Community Cross-License Initiative, a consortium of companies that agree to share any patents that those companies may hold that are relevant to the WebM video format, and in particular the VP8 video compression algorithm. Desktop media players like Winamp are beginning to embrace WebM. And, perhaps most crucially, chip makers like Intel are working to add WebM support at the hardware level.

Nokia announced the Symbian^3 powered Nokia E7 at the Nokia World 2010 in London. This handset comes with a large 4 inch touchscreen display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Nokia E7 Symbian^3 smartphone has landed on Three UK. The network has stated on its Twitter page that the newest Symbian handset would be heading their way this April, and the E7 is now available both in Three’s stores or online.

Video-calling has been available on Android for a while but only in its prime form – 3G video calls, which are charged by the minute by your carrier. The PlayStation Network was hacked on or just before April 17. Then from April 17-19 user account information was accessed by the hacker. The information taken included user names, addresses, e-mail addresses, birthdates, and PSN & Qriocity login IDs and passwords as well as your password security answers. But today the company finally confirmed that their service was actually compromised as we all expected. But it’s even worse than that.
