Ford and SunPower team up to provide a high-efficiency rooftop solar system, put a hefty $10,000 price tag on one of its accessories. This system provide Focus Electric owners enough renewable energy production to offset the energy used for charging. Parking technology has finally caught up to our on-the-go culture: pay without paying attention and now researchers have built a device that does for parking lots what radio transponders do for highway tolls. This new parking system is based on NFC system that allows you shell out your hard earned cash without even reaching for your wallet and the setup is relatively simple, consisting of a small RFID tag, compatible transceivers and a centralized database. Ford SYNC Systems Become More Affordable By Drops Price Of $100
Ford reduce SYNC systems to base trim levels, right now it’s drops from $395 to $295. By this $100 Drops Price of SYNC become more affordable and available to all. SYNC will now be available as optional equipment on base trim levels, marking broader availability and more choice for customers starting with its 2012 Edge and Explorer models. SYNC has been installed already on more than 3 million vehicles since its debut in 2007. BMW i3 Concept And BMW i8 Concept
BMW recently unveiled the first two models in its new ‘i’ series, the i3 and the i8 concepts and the futuristically styled cars are based on BMW’s new LifeDrive architecture. BMW i3 is an electric vehicle designed for urban environments and formerly called the MegaCity Vehicle, the EV is powered by a 125 kW electric motor that offers drivers an 80-mile electric driving range. The BMW i3 has a 0-60 mph time of less than eight seconds and its high-speed charger achieves an 80-percent battery charge in just one hour. Suzuki’s Every Electric Van Coming To The Streets Of Japan
Following in the wake of Mitsubishi came out of nowhere with their i-MiEV, and here comes Suzuki with an electric version of their kei (mini) van, the Every. Suzuki has reportedly manufactured 13 of the electrified vans, which will be handed out to its dealerships in Japan on a trial basis. This, according to Integrity Exports, will allow Suzuki to test out its electrified people-moving machine ahead of the automaker’s launch of a mass-produced battery-powered vehicle.
