OnStar FMV Mirrors Becoming Available At Best Buy From 24th July
OnStar, the company manufactue some different all-in-one car accessory, is now working with General Motors. During the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show as “OnStar Anywhere” will officially launched. The OnStar FMV Mirrors provides the company’s popular blue button technology for about 90 million automobiles. That’s means alot of users for those cars are taking the benefits of features like automatic crash response, turn-by-turn navigation and hands-free calling.
Suzuki’s Every Electric Van Coming To The Streets Of Japan
Following in the wake of Mitsubishi came out of nowhere with their i-MiEV, and here comes Suzuki with an electric version of their kei (mini) van, the Every. Suzuki has reportedly manufactured 13 of the electrified vans, which will be handed out to its dealerships in Japan on a trial basis. This, according to Integrity Exports, will allow Suzuki to test out its electrified people-moving machine ahead of the automaker’s launch of a mass-produced battery-powered vehicle.

First All-Electric Car Sharing Fleet In North America
Car2go brings North America’s first all-electric carsharing program to San Diego and the program will kick off sometime before the end of this year, when 300 Smart Fortwo plug-ins storm the city, each powered by a 30 kW electric propulsion system and a lithium ion battery that promises to last for up to 84 miles on a single charge. San Diego car2go service will be announced in the near future, as will the start of customer registrations and a similar all-electric car2go service has previously been announced for Amsterdam that is also due to commence before the end of 2011…………….

Volkswagen has developed a new temporary autopilot system for cars called TAP, which Volkswagen describes as a semi automatic driving mode that will drive your car at the speed you have selected and also keep you at a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you, system is capable of reducing the vehicles speed before a bend, and is also designed to maintain the cars central position within the lane markers. Google Builds Largest EV Charging Network
Google says it has largest corporate EV charging network in the US with some 200 chargers currently in place, plus an extra 250 that are on the way and Google has purchased some extra Chevy Volts and Nissan Leafs, this Gfleet will eventually expand to include a total of 30 EVs, which explains the expansion of its ChargePoint Network. The company hopes this initiative will encourage more people to purchase EVs, and estimates that it’ll eventually save a total of 5,400 tonnes of CO2 per year and the equivalent to removing about 2,000 cars from the road…………
