Some users of iMac have been experiencing problems with their ATI Radeon graphics cards. The chief problem is that the system stops responding while working. Now, Apple has re-released the iMac graphics firmware 3.0. The word re-released is being used because Apple released this version back in August last year and has now released it again under the same version number. This means the new update essentially contains few changes and is meant primarily to fix the aforementioned problem.

Microsoft doesn’t seem to lack it’s creativity to it’s own platforms and has often launched products from platforms from other than it’s own. First we had a whole lot of Bing apps that were introduced, not through Windows Phone but on iOS devices last year. Then Microsoft also released the 360-degree panorama photograph app, Photosynth which didn’t debut on Windows Phone either. But it seems that with better Windows Phone devices now on their way, the users may finally get a Photosynth app for Windows Phone some time soon.

The policies of the mobile apps to display ads and gather information from the user, with or without his consent, have been flagged numerous times as suspicious. The very problem arises from the fact that most mobile apps don’t have a clearly defined privacy policy, so the user doesn’t know much about them. Now, however, you can see exactly what the ads in a mobile app are doing, what kind of data they are gathering and how are they using that data. You can do it all with the help of Ad Network Detector, an app released by mobile security firm, Lookout.
