Apple’s manufacturing partners have reportedly begun assembling the iPhone 5 according to a new report from Macotakara and the report follows news from this morning that German Apple carrier partner Deutsche Telekom has already begun pre-sales of the next-generation Apple smartphone. The site reports that Foxconn is fulfilling 85% of the production order that Apple has placed for the iPhone 5 and also reports that the packaging of the units is not being completed yet because iOS 5 is not yet ready for final installation on the devices……………….

Unofficial cases have already been made available for the fabled iPhone 5 and those uggesting that the elusive device will boast a 4 inch screen and be noticeably thinner than the current model. The new cases would seem to validate and back a number rumors circulating for quite some time now. MacRumors.com is reporting that it has obtained what it claims are third party cases designed specifically for the iPhone 5 and measured the thickness of the case and concluded that based on the the case design, the iPhone 5 is .30 inches at its thickest point……………

Without knowing any details on Apple’s next-generation iPhone, including its release date, Deutsche Telekom still began offering customers the ability to preorder the handset and customers can reserve the next-generation iPhone. The carrier is reportedly concerned about supply bottlenecks at launch of the so-called iPhone 5 and customers who request the successor to the iPhone 4 will be granted a coupon for when it finally goes on sale. When the handset is released in the country it will be the first time the carrier has not had the iPhone as an exclusive device at launch and it is looking more likely we will see the iPhone 5 during October……………….

Best Buy employees are looking to get busy beginning in early October and there is a few directives that have gone out to employees this weekend, concerning pre-order dates for the iPhone 5 a Sprint launch. It clearly indicates that Best Buy is expecting the iPhone to be introduced this week and there is the launch dates subject to change tagged on to the end. pple has not sent out invitations for an event so the possibility of a September launch is starting to look slim and this conflicts with the earlier rumour that Best Buy may possibly launch the iPhone 5 on the 21st of October, but as with all these rumours they have to be taken with a large pinch of salt……………

The San Francisco Police Department has said it has no record of a formal investigation into yet another missing prototype iPhone and the man whose home was searched claims people impersonating police offers came into his residence with evidence suggesting one of the individuals was an Apple-employed senior investigator. San Francisco Police Department has now confirmed that police officers were indeed involved in visiting the residence of Sergio Calderón, though he alleges that Apple security officials allowed him to believe that they were also officers when they searched his house and local police said they have no record of any police investigation into a lost prototype next-generation iPhone…………………

Apple has just seeded iOS 5 beta 7 to developers via OTA and it is not in the dev center just yet. In addition to iOS 5 Beta 7, Apple has pushed Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview 7, iTunes 10.5 beta 7, and Apple TV Software beta 6 and if you’re a developer, you should update but you want to keep your jailbreak on iOS 5 you should wait……………….

DigiTimes dispels rumors of a 4-inch iPhone 5 display but says the panel could get slightly bigger, which combined with a thinner bezel, will make the screen look larger and the ouchscreen panel of the next iPhone will be less than 4-inch or 3.5- to 3.7-inch. More evidence points to next generation iPhones carrying iPhone 4 sized screens and it carrying a similar Engineering Verification Test 1 designation and dated March 3rd, 2011. The part consists of the entire front assembly for the N94 device and the esign is entirely consistent with the iPhone 4, showing the same amount of bezel edge on the sides of the screen and also a hole for the traditional iPhone home button………………..

A leaked memo from Sprint advising employees to simply state no comment when asked about the iPhone has added fuel to the fire on rumors that the carrier will begin offering Apple’s next-generation iPhone this fall and the Sprint dealers are also advised to refer customers to the Sprint.com Newsroom. This doesn’t confirm that a Sprint iPhone handset is coming and it does lead us to believe that Sprint might have something up its sleeve, something that it wants to keep secret………….
