Download Android 3.1 Update For Motorola Xoom

Motorola Xoom gets Android 3.1 update that activates microSD card support outside the US and that’ll be getting activated soon as part of the tablet’s Android 3.1 update, which is starting to roll out now and should have all of Europe covered within the next few weeks………..

Owners of the Motorola XOOM tablet outside of the U.S. have something to be happy about today, Motorola has taken to Facebook and officially let everyone know that the Android 3.1 update will soon be available for Xoom tablet users in Europe and more specifically, it is going to be available for non-U.S. devices. The update does bring one nice and welcomed addition and the update will bring support for the SD card slot. Motorola Facebook posting that were not even aware they had an SD card slot and was rather generic about just what else the update will include and exactly when it will be available for all users. According to Motorola, the update will be coming available over the next several weeks and that the functionality will vary by region.

The 3.1 update for Motorola XOOM outside the U.S. has started. Owners in Europe can expect updates over the next several weeks until the roll out is complete. The 3.1 update for non-U.S. devices, in addition to many other improvements, also includes SD card activation. Release notes will be made available in each region, functionality varies by region.

The comments surrounding these types of company postings on Facebook are almost more exciting than the actual news and this one comes just as we would have hoped for with many users asking when Android 3.2 is going to arrive. Motorola is going to tell everyone about an update for the Xoom and break the news of a Xoom 2 in their Facebook comments. Though there’s no word yet on any US release and if you’re in Canada you might want to check for this as well.

Thanks
