Sony Xperia 2011 Devices Will Get Android Jelly Bean?

Earlier this week, we have reported about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Sony Xperia Arc S and Xperia Mini Pro. The news broke through a Q&A session with Sony Mobile UK Product Manager, John Cooper. During the Q&A session in Facebook, he mentioned that the Sony Xperia devices rolled out in 2011 will not get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Recent report says he was misinformed.

According to the Sony’s official Mobile Blog, John Cooper gave some wrong information about some Xperia devices not getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, last week. According to Cooper Sony had no plans to roll out Android Jelly Bean update for Xperia smartphones rolled out in 2011. But, Sony has ensured that it will release Android Jelly Bean for its 2011 Xperia devices, including the Xperia S. Sony will also roll out Ice Cream Sandwich for Xperia P and other 2012 Xperia smartphones over the next couple of weeks.
