Pentax has unveiled a special edition paint job for new limited edition K-r dslr cameras,with a bright, multi-colored body and a robotic head that fits into the flash hot shoe.This limited edition (just 100 units will be produced) was designed by Tokyo-based creative agency ZariganiWorks [JP]. Pentax also throws in a small robot figure and this 35mm lens.
This new special edition model will only be release d in Japan on Christmas Eve. The Pentax camera will be limited to just 100 units and will carry a price tag of ¥99,800 (about $1,190) before tax. The limited edition camera has been dubbed the “K-r Korenjanairobomoderu” or simply the Korejanai robot edition.Pentax notes the camera will still come with the Pentax DA 35mm F2.5 AL kit lens.
The actual release date will be in early January.
