CyanogenMod 9 is based on Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC One X is really sitting on top of the Android world at the moment. International users of the HTC One X can get an experience of the omnipresent CyanogenMod custom ROM. Recently CyanogenMod 9,the new version of firmware, has been posted by TripNRaVeR of the TripNDroid Mobile Engineering developer team on the Modaco forums. Although CyanogenMod official site has not released it. The ROM was made using the open-source CyanogenMod 9 files but its major features are working in this initial release.
The Camera and the Wi-Fi Hotspot, two features are not properly working right now. Mobile data, calls and SMS all emerge to be working, though there is no mentioning of how Google Play or third-party apps will work on top the new version.
Soft menu key is materialized by the system when an application uses it and for that no hard keys are needed.
