What Got Cheaper With iPhone 5?

You have already got the pricing for iPhone 5. It’s similar to that of iPhone 4S pricing at launch – $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB. But, it is not the whole game. Some other phones have gotten cheaper with the launch of iPhone 5. These phones range from older versions of iPhone to newer Galaxy S III.

iPhone 5 pricing

To combat the wave of the latest iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S III price has already seen a temporary slash in price. The flagship phone from Sansung is available for $99.99 through Amazon Wireless for AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Sprint.

To accommodate the latest iPhone, Apple itself has revised pricing for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The renewed pricing for iPhone 4S 16GB version is $99, while consumers can get hold of an iPhone 4 8GB version free. Both of these packages will require a two-year contract with an operator.

If you want to get iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S without a contract then try digging online classifieds. Because lot of users are offloading their iPhone to get the new iPhone 5. For example, a popular Canadian classified site named Kijiji saw a 60 percent increase in iPhone related searches in recent times, compared to the same time a year earlier. The site sees this as an indication of more people interested in offloading their iPhone.

If the iPhone 5 wave stays longer than anticipated, then we may see some more price drops. All we have to do is wait a bit longer.
