California based 7twenty7 LLC today released PrankBooth 1.0, a first-of-its-kind app for iPhone 4 and 4th-generation iPod touch devices. PrankBooth presents fake apps to a user’s friend, followed by an unexpected surprise. PrankBooth utilizes the front-facing camera of the device to secretly record and photograph the reaction to the prank. The video and still photos can then be viewed, saved, or emailed directly from the app.
PrankBooth records 10 seconds of video and snaps 3 separate photos of before, during, and after the prank. Once the prank ends, the video and photos are able to be viewed, saved, and emailed from with the app.PrankBooth allows users to choose from two separate fake app types and two different pranks. Users can select either a fake PhotoBoothHD app or a fake Optical Illusion app. They then choose if they want the prank to be scary or funny.
