Another amazing tweak has released naming as Barrel.Developer Aaron Ash has released it.It adds a cool 3D icon effect to your iPhone and iPod Touch Springboard.

The name is a play on “Beryl”, which is both a mineral and the name of a Linux window manager that got merged with Compiz. Compiz was an inspiration for making this icon effect, if you haven’t seen it’s awesomeness in action.

This is similar to the Compiz desktop effect seen on Linux where instead of scrolling between pages, you scroll between different sides of a cube.

Barrel won’t add any new icons on your iPhone & iPod Touch springboard. It requires iOS 4.0 + and not for the iPad.

All of you need to have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to install the Cydia plugin.

Barrel tweak is available on the Cydia store for $2.99 via BigBoss repository.

    Why do you tag it “ios3″ If it requires ios4? I expect you to port barrel to ios3 now :P

    It wont let me get it on cydia it says its broken or somethin that it requires manual fixing
    Is there some way to fix it or is it just gone?
