Beside the tweet about the new amazing Redsn0w jailbreak features,MuscleNerd has tweeted that the Dev-Team will not start looking into developing the Baseband downgrade, before they have released the iPhone 4 unlock. Now this news will be controversial because for all of you users who have an iPhone 4 this will be some great news because it means you will have an unlock shortly.

From his tweet:

Fammbizz asking MuscleNerd: when is ur bb downgrade comin out for 6.15.00
MuscleNerd replying: TBH (to be honest), that won’t be looked into until after i4 unlock

Many of users who unlock their devices using ultrasn0w 1.2 noted problems with their GPS, so we expect that downgrade will fix this bug, moreover, there is speculation about the possibility to downgrade the baseband to unlockable one which will be compatible with the old version of ultrasn0w.

Does anyone have any idea when the downgrade might be possible? It’s ruined my iPhone 3GS and I just want it back on stock firmware now.

Yes, totally same problem. im on a 3g with bb 5.14.02. I cant unlock, can’t downgrade, can’t make a damn phone call.

Dev-Team really should address this problem before working on other unlocks since this has probably decommissioned millions of iphones by following their unlock tutorial which resulted in a dead end.

My phone is ruined by updating to this baseband. I’ve been waiting patiently for a fix because i know they are busy but how long do we have wait. I cant believe there is only one person (or one small team) on this whole planet capable of jailbreaking iphones. This has put me off jailbreaking and never again will i ruin my phone. Apple are right they make their software robust and secure so people who are not authorized dont mess them up.
