The pre-orders for Apple’s new iPhone 5C were supposed to become available today. The company has lived up to the schedule it announced and now, you can finally place your pre-order for iPhone 5C.
The 16GB model of iPhone 5C carries a price tag of $99 whereas the 32GB model costs you a cool $199. It must be noted here that iPhone 5C is the cheaper model that Apple has rolled out this year, featuring a plastic body.
The new handset will be available with all the major US carriers including Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. However, if you don’t wish to place a pre-order directly with any of these carriers, you can always go to Apple’s own site. Alternatively, if you want to go with one of the major retailers, you should know that Walmart is also taking iPhone 5C pre-orders now.
Interestingly enough, Walmart is offering the 16GB model for $79 whereas the 32GB model costs $189. In other words, you get to save $10 and $20 on the two respective models if you place a pre-order with Walmart. The handset is available in five different colors, so you have a fairly good breadth of options to choose from.
If you’re not the one for carrier contracts and want an unlocked version of the handset, you can get it by coughing $549 for the 16GB model or $649 for the 32GB model. Also, if you are among the earliest to place the pre-order for the handset, you can expect to receive it by September 20th.
