iPhone 6 May Arrive in August, Here’s An Early Look On Possible Design

A lot of anticipation and excitement is beginning to surrounded Apple‘s upcoming iPhone 6. Apple unveiled the last flagship handset, iPhone 5S, in September 2013. However, the launch date for iPhone 6 is rumored to be in August this year.

As happens with all major tech releases, leaks and rumors have tuned up just ahead of the expected iPhone 6 launch. We have numerously heard in the past few months that Apple is readying two new handsets – one will feature a 4.7-inch display while the other will pack a 5.5-inch screen.

According to certain sources in Taiwan, close to Apple’s supply chain, the company is aiming at an earlier than expected release. It had been expected that like last year, Apple will bring together its big iPhone event in September. However, the latest reports from Taiwan suggest that the company may be ready to go public with the iPhone 6 line-up as soon as August.

Another interesting claim by this Taiwan source is that Apple will launch the 5.5-inch variant of iPhone within a month of the rumored August event. Previously, it had been speculated that Apple may take a few more months for the 5.5-inch version, due to supply issues. That doesn’t seem to be the case, if this fresh piece of information is to be believed.

In the light of the recent leakups and mockups, 9to5mac has created new photos which show the upcoming iPhone 6 in all three colors, side by side. The handset will apparently be available in space grey, gold and silver colors. Moreover, we may see certain design changes in the handset. For instance, the Home button may get a slight revamp and the volume rocker will be altered.

But then, all this remains speculation for now. Historically, online leaks tend to give a general picture of an upcoming handset, and turn out to be nearly accurate eventually. So in the light of this, we can safely assume that at least some of the rumors circulating on the web, including the ones stated above, are true.
