If you own a BMW, you sure have one of the best thing coming your for your iPhone or iPad. Imagine you being able to remotely check the exact location of the car or to lock and unlock it’s doors. The app can be downloaded for free but to use the app, you must be a BMW customer with a BMW Assist Safety Plan contract. After you download the app, you will be asked to provide your username and password that you will have only if you have the contract.

So what can you accomplish with this app? Installed on your iPhone, you can know the exact location of your car if it is within 1 mile of you and it’s ignition is turned off. Moreover, you can unlock or lock the car remotely with the help of this app. Another interesting feature of the app is that you can remotely make your car honk the horn. In congested places or when unable to locate your car properly, this can be really helpful in getting to your car sooner.

Finally, you can remotely control the flash headlights of the car. This, again, is quite helpful in locating the car at nights when you are unsure where is it in a large parking lot.
