The Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1 is a 12.1″ touchscreen device that is intended for mobile workers who want a tough and versatile computing experience. The Toughbook CF-C1 features all the little things you’ll need and is also backed up by a two-year accidental damage warranty.
In addition, the company is underlining its confidence in the ruggedness of its products by offering a new two-year accidental damage warranty on all new CF-C1 devices. The warranty covers a complete range of damage: non-intentional liquid spills, drops, falls, collisions and electrical surges and even covers damaged or broken LCD displays. The accidental damage cover complements Panasonic Toughbook’s existing three-year warranty against material and manufacturing faults.
Most consumer tablets use a single battery design which is unable to support busy mobile workers who spend the day travelling and need their tablet to work alongside them. The CF-C1 comes with a twin hot-swappable battery that provides up to 10 hours of operation and allows users to swap batteries while the unit is running.
This Panasonic Toughbook mobile product features a 12.1″ WXGA (1280×800 resolution) resistive multi-touch display. The keyboard is spill-resistant and features 84 keys. The notebook uses a Intel Core i5-520M which has a clock speed of 2.4GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.93 GHz. The CF-C1 comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM (up to 4GB) as well as a 250GB hard drive. Graphics are handled by the integrated Intel HD graphics processor.
For ports and connectivity you are supplied with Gigabit Ethernet, 3G, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, plus an SD/SDHC card slot. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1 can also be configured with a built-in webcam. The starting price for the Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1 is set at £1,709.
When considering the right tablet for their business, corporate buyers must consider the increased ruggedness, flexibility, security and usage needs their organisation will demand from their tablet,” commented Stephen Yeo. “When you compare the popular consumer tablets against the purpose-designed Toughbook CF-C1 you quickly see the fundamental differences in the designs.
