In the recent past, we have been hearing about a 5-inch Nexus handset. Although so far none of the rumors could be substantiated, an FCC filing now hints about a device which fits the rumored details.

The FCC filing contains images of the device’s interior as well as hints that the device is equipped with Qi wireless charging. Interestingly, the same has been rumored in the past before about the rumored Nexus 5.

Simiarly, this handset detailed in FCC filing also packs a 5-inch display and measures 131.9mm x 68.22mm. More details from the document suggest that the handset includes a Snapdragon 800 SoC and runs Android KitKat.

While these remain the specs of the handset found in FCC filing, a similar device was spotted in one of Google’s official videos. In one of the scenes of the video, an employee can be seen brandishing a 5-inch-ish Nexus-branded smartphone. Many regarded it as the rumored Nexus 5 and before soon, Google took off the video.

This, together with all the other rumors that have been abound the handset, tend to suggest that Google is partnering with LG on its 5-inch Nexus phone. However, its all speculation for now so unless Google finally responds to these rumors officially, we’ll have to take these theories with a pinch of salt.
