For those who aren’t familiar with Meizu, it is a 1 GHz Cortex A8 CPU based Android phone that has been heavily tweaked to give the best user experience. There are other Android devices with relatively same specs and features, but unique selling proposition of this handset is it’s awe inspiring custom Meizu launcher. This Chinese handset has been primarily released with Android 2.2 Froyo on board and is expected to receive Gingerbread soon. In our opinion, Meizu M9 is the only Android phone whose display can be compared with Apple’s iPhone 4 retina thingy.Folks over at XDA have managed to extract the Meizu M9 ROM with all stuff and tweaking on board and have successfully ported to HTC EVO 4G. Although we can’t really call it a complete and perfect port as it’s a major GSM to CDMA conversion, but most of the ROM features have been reported as working except for the signal.
