Nokia has once again proved that it is the leading innovator in the mobile phone industry. The new Nokia Gem completely revolutionizes the idea of a mobile phone. You want to feel it, click it, touch every single part of it – because all of it is a touchscreen!

The new Nokia Gem is not just a phone. It’s a 3-D touchscreen. Nokia has revolutionized the concept of mobile usage through Nokia Gem. Unlike normal mobiles phones, Nokia Gem is a mobile phone whose all sides, every part, every single centimeter is an interactive screen. And the functions you can perform through such a device are virtually endless!!

Wrap your photos around your mobile:

The introductory video provided by Nokia shows some extra-ordinary things that can be accomplished through Nokia Gem. This mobile has no physical buttons and to capture a camera, you can simply draw a circle and a camera on the screen will appear. You can take a shot of something and pull and extend it so that it will wrap itself all around the mobile’s body, like a new skin. Similarly if you are navigating a map, you can wrap it around the whole body and get a detailed view.

An interactive touchscreen:

The introductory video shows a woman performing a number of functions on Nokia Gem. According to Jarkko Saunamaki, senior design manager at Nokia, this mobile phone is the ultimate customizable device. “There is no default appearance. If you play a lot of games, it will usually resemble a games pad for example” he says. This huge break-through in the world of mobiles further ensures Nokia’s leading role in the industry as well as the innovation and quality of its products.
