The MWC 2013 at Barcelona, Spain, has started. All tech companies have started to unveil their latest devices one by one. In the mean time, mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled a brand new phone, Nokia 301. The Nokia 301 comes with Pure experience. Get the details of this phone inside.

The Nokia 301 is classic Nokia from top to toe, from its iconic numbered keypad to the immediately recognizable design, but this classically designed feature phone has a few surprises up its sleeve. The Nokia 301 runs on the Nokia Series 40 platform. The phone comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display (320 X 240 pixel resolution) and has 256MB of internal storage which can be extended up to 32GB. In addition, the phone features a 3.2MP camera (no flash).

Facebook, eBuddy, WhatsApp and Twitter are all preloaded to the home screen and the email app supports a lite version of Mail for Exchange for syncing your calendar, contacts and emails. It also works with NFC and a brand of connectivity called SLAM, letting users to connect to any device that has NFC inside.

The phone has a self-timer for taking pictures of yourself with other people. Nokia 301 can take panoramic photographs as well as sequential shot, which takes 3-5 frames and lets you choose the perfect picture. The phone also supports 3.5G Internet and coupled with the Nokia Xpress Browser, benefits from up to 90% data compression, for fast and smooth browsing. It can even stream videos from YouTube, let you download them from the Vuclip app and watch them in portrait or landscape mode.

Nokia 301 has a strong battery life. Single-SIM 301 provides up to 20 hours of talk time and up to 39 days of standby time. The 301 comes in five different colors – Black, Cyan, Magenta, White and Yellow.

The Nokia 301 will go on sale “during Q2 this year”, and will be available in single and dual SIM versions. This phone will be available from Q2 2013 and it will be available in more than 120 countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Middle East and Latin America.

It is expected that the Nokia 301 will cost around $85, which is equivalent to €65 or around £56.
