Nvidia Tegra 2 tablet Running Backbreaker

Nvidia’s sleek, dual-core Tegra 2 prototype tablet has taken top story at Google’s I/O conference.According to iSlate, the Android-based device is powered by a 1GHz Tegra 2 platform which combines a dual core Cortex A9 ARM-based processor with Nvidia graphics.

The tablet also features a capacitive multi-touch 8.9 inch widescreen (WSVGA) display (720p HD), 1 GB of RAM, WiFi, webcam, microphone, accelerometer mic and headphone jacks.

In addition, the device boasts 2 USB ports, an SD card slot, micro SD card slot, along with a SIM card slot for easy 3G access.

The Tegra 250 chipset from Nvidia is likely to feature in other tablet devices such as the Notion Ink Adam and the ICD Ultra. A variant of the chipset could be present on the Nintendo 3DS gaming device as well.
