Sprint is in fact now pushing out the official update to Android 2.2 over its update servers. Only some people seem to be receiving the update, so you’ll have to wait patiently if you don’t see a chance to perform a firmware upgrade.It is become quite clear that Sprint values quick over-the-air updates.Now, Sprint will become the first American carrier to launch Android 2.2 for a Galaxy S series device, passing up AT&T and T-Mobile who both launched the Captivate and Vibrant far before the Epic 4G’s release.The codename of the build looks to be DK28. This suggests the build was finalized on November 28th about one week ago. Android 2.2 for the Epic 4G includes a massive list of upgrades to the original 2.1 Eclair software.
