Updated Samsung Galaxy S2 Will Support Windows Phone?

Samsung Flagship smartphone Galaxy S2 has already reached record sales of 3 million units sold in just 55 days and the smartphone is not yet released in US smartphone market. Rumors all over the internet suggests that an upgraded version of the smartphone will be released as well. But if you are thinking that the new version will have some kind of new features or an updated version of Android, think again. Sources suggest that the updated Samsung Galaxy S2 will run Windows Phone 7 Mango update.

According to WMPU, a Windows Phone 7 compatible version of the smartphone exists and it has been shown on Bluetooth SIG as well.

WMPU reports,

Now the Samsung SGH-i937 is showing up on the Bluetooth SIG, and we know this is a Windows Phone 7 Mango handset for two reasons- 1) it has the exact same Bluetooth profile as the Mango Windows Phone 7 stack and 2) the device has shown up on Occasional Gamers list of Windows Phone 7 handsets running its games.

Samsung Galaxy S2 has been one of the best smartphone in the market right now powered by 1.2 GHZ dual core processor, super AMOLED Plus display, 8 MP camera and much more. If it supports WP7, it will be of great help to the OS and it would help WP7 compete with the other operating systems such as Android and iOS which are already dominating the market.
