Today Philips confirms that tomorrow is a media player with Android operating system presents the GoGear Connect with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. “The first MP4 player with a full Android experience,” says Phillips.It’s a gadget with a 3.2 inch touch screen (128 grams) in terms of specifications that resembles the iPod Touch, a music and video player with a simple operating system which you yourself can add new software. In the case of the GoGear goes through the Android Market, where more than 100,000 applications can be downloaded. The GoGear is music to the PC via Bluetooth, but the question is whether this fast enough.

The Philips GoGear is an A bit smaller than 5 inches Android tablets already on the market, like the Archos 5 and Dell Streak. And talked about Android and tablets: Samsung 7 inch Galaxy Tab Android 2.2 will be shown in Berlin.Additionally, the device can stream audio to an external source and file sharing. The 16 GB version will cost 249 euros, the memory is expandable with an SD card. By comparison, a 32 GB iPod Touch costs €249 (about $315).
