Archos has introduced two new budget-friendly Android tablets, the Archos Arnova 8 and the Archos Arnova 10. Initially, both tablets will ship with a ARM9 600MHz processor and with resistive touch screens.
The Arnova 10 features a 10.1-inch resistive touchscreen, 600MHz processor, 8GB of built-in storage and is powered by Google’s Android 2.1 mobile operating system. On the other hand the Arnova 8, features the same exact specs but does away with the 8GB of storage for just 4GB. Seeing how the specs of these devices are quick lackluster, it’s no surprise that Archos has managed to keep the price down.
Cost of Arnova 8 and Arnova 10 is $149 and $199 respectively.
In April 2011, Archos is plans to release enhanced version of both models. They will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, a Rockchip RK2918 CPU, capacitive screens and 1080p HD video playback.
