Android Event On Oct 29

On October 18 Google mentioned that it is going to hold an Android Press event on October 29. But the company revealed nothing about the event, not even a clue. Since then many tech specialists started speculating that Google may announce its new 32 GB version Nexus 7 tablet or it may introduce a Nexus 4 from LG. Some tech specialists also said that Google may introduce a new version of Android at the event. But none of them were confident. But the twist came on Sunday, October 21.

On October 21, The Next Web found the details of the Android Press event of October 29. The website reported that Google and Samsung will announce “Manta,” a new 10-inch 32GB tablet, HSPA+ 3G connectivity. According to the unknown source’s information Manta will be coming with a 10-inch 2560 x 1600 display (16:10 resolution) with around 300 pixels per inch (ppi). The tablet if released is supposed be released as the Nexus 10. Nexus 10 will be launched with Android 4.2, an updated operating system. It is unknown whether the 4.2 operating system will be named as Jelly Bean or be released under a new code-name.

That’s not all. According to The Next Web’s report, Google will launch Android 4.2 powered Nexus 4 from LG that will feature a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon processor, 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper and a 2100mAh battery.

As Google’s event tagline is “The playground is open”, I believe there’ll might be a lot beyond our expectation and imagination. Let’s see, what Google’s Android Press event on October 29 in NYC has for us.
