Microsoft To Start Selling Surface Pro Tablets In US & Canada On February 9

Microsoft announced the Surface tablet line last year in June and unveiled “Surface Pro Tablet” at the CES 2013. Eight months since the announcement, Microsoft has announced that it will start selling the final version of fully capable Surface Pro Tablet in the U.S. and Canada from February 9. The price will start at $899.

Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet weighs 2 pound and measures 10.81-inch x 6.81-inch x 0.53-inch. The tablet features 10.6-inch Full HD display, Intel Core i5 processor integrated with HD Graphics 4000, 4GB RAM, a pair of 720p webcams (one on the front and another on the back), 64GB and 128GB internal storage, 42Wh battery, WiFi a/b/g/n, USB 3.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, microSDXC memory card slot, headset jack, a Mini DisplayPort, microphone, stereo speakers, a connector for Microsoft’s magnetically-attached keyboard-covers and many more.

Last Tuesday, Microsoft announced that it will launch Surface Pro Tablet in the U.S. and Canada on February 9. The company will sell 64GB internal storage equipped Surface Pro Tablet for $899 (without Touch/Type Cover keyboard), and 128GB internal storage equipped model for $999 (without Touch/Type Cover keyboard). Whichever you choose, a pressure-sensitive pen will come in the box. The Touch Cover and the Type Cover will cost you extra $119 and $129, respectively.
