Samsung Galaxy Tab running Android 2.2 Froyo has not been released yet but it has rooted successfully.Guys over sera-apps managed to root the Galaxy Tab and have posted an image showing an application called Superuser Permissions, which is only possible on rooted devices.
The instructions are not currently available now.
