Samsung has added three more Windows 8 devices in its product line. Among the three new Windows 8 devices, the first one is a ultrabook with a touch screen and the other two are tablets. The revealed devices are part of the company’s new “Smart PC” line-up.
The 13-inch Series 5 Ultra Touch Windows 8 ultrabook packs a Intel Core i CPU, a 1366×768 display, 4GB RAM and 500GB hard drive with 24GB of ExpressCache (high-speed SSD storage). The price starts at $810. If you want a Core i5 processor then you have to pay extra $50. The weight of the Ultrabook is a bit heavy at 3.83 pounds (1.74kg).
Samsung also revealed two Windows 8 tablets that are under the Ativ line. Both tablets come with 11.6-inch displays. The Ativ Smart PC 500T comes with an Atom Z2760 CPU, 2GB RAM and 64GB storage. The retail price of the device is $749.99 with keyboard and $649.99 without keyboard. The Ativ Smart PC 700T has a Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage and will sell for $1,199.99.
Amazon is taking pre-order of Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T for $749.99 and CompUSA is taking pre-order of Samsung Ativ Smart PC 700T for $1,199.99.
