This Elocity A7 will feature an “extremely responsive” 7-inch capacitive multitouch display with a 800 x 480 resolution and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and an accelerometer. Additionally, the tablet will come equipped with USB HDMI, and an SD slot for additional storage. Of course, the biggest selling point the Elocity A7 has is its 1GHz Tegra 2 processor courtesy of NVIDIA.
Software-wise the demo unit was running Android 2.1 but the company’s CEO says that it will be shipping with Android 2.2 come October. However, instead of shipping the Android Marketplace, StreamTV was forced to go with the alternative GetJar app store due to restrictions surrounding the preloading of Marketplace.
StreamTV hopes to ship the Elocity A7 tablet exclusively through Amazon.com this September for $399 and will include an HDMI cord and wireless keyboard. The company will start taking preorders through Amazon starting September 3rd, with the device expected to ship in November.
