Interactive YouTube Channel “Network A” Lets You Interact While Watching It

We have seen the explosive growth of content distribution over the web in the past few years. From rentals to YouTube channels and streaming services, a number of vendors are currently competing in this arena. Network A is a sports channel on YouTube which wishes to take a different approach. It wants to make content a lot more interactive, and to that end, it has released a very interesting video.

Network A Interactive video

The video is an extremely engaging piece which shows three skateboarders showing off their adventures. What is most extra-ordinary about this video is that you don’t simply get to watch the video – rather, you can ‘select’ the adventures you wish to see while watching the video.

In the start of the video, Network A states ‘Directed By: YOU’, a statement which seems quite true as you continue watching the video. You can ‘choose your own adventure’ by selecting any of three skateboarders and then determining what kind of action you want them to do using their skates.

According to Network A, there are 800 permutations of this single clip. In other words, this one video can be seen in 800 different ways, depending upon the options you choose while watching it.

According to the CEO of Bedrocket Media, the company which owns Network A, “We love YouTube, but we also want to expand beyond the model of showing TV on the internet. The web’s strength is that it lets you do things that are less linear, more interactive.”

The video is posted below and you should definitely give it a try to get a feel of what fun and entertainment can interactive videos be!
