Invitation to Freinds in Google Voice is ON

Here is the good news for Google Voice users. Google has enabled friend invitations for its users from Tuesday, i.e. Google Voice users can now send invites to their friends.

Google Voice is following the same path of Gmail, Google’s email service, to get users, i.e. through invitations. Service availability is invitation only now, and till Monday it was Google invitation only. But, from now on existing users of Google Voice can send invitations to their friends.

Google is rolling out invitations ‘gradually’. Hence, it has advised its users not to get upset if friend invitation option doesn’t come up immediately.

Number of invitations has been set to three users per user.

Apart from this, users of Google or non-users can request a Google Voice invitation from google.com/voiceinvite. [Google Blog]
