iPad tablets have become one of the hot favourite items to go as gifts on nearly all occasions. However, when it comes to a marriage proposal, handing out simply an iPad or a ring may seem a tad bit bland. So a Reddit user decided to think of a rather unique idea to mix up the two things when he proposed to his girlfriend.

iPad wedding ring

Known as rad_rob on Twitter, the user posted a number of images which show him doing a whole lot of hard work on his ‘project.’ He first bought a new iPad and took out the tablet from the box. He then created a sleek metal plate to go into the box so that on holding it, his girlfriend may not think it lighter than it should be.

After setting the box with the metal plate, he place the wedding ring into a small window right at the middle of the plate. He then handed it out to his girlfriend as a gift.

Naturally, his girlfriend expected to see an iPad inside. Instead, she found a ring inside. What transpired further should best be told in rad_rob’s own words, “I know I cried a little, and as soon as I opened the lid on the box and she saw what was inside, so did she. She immediately said yes, and threw her arms around me. I felt like a total stud.”

To top things up, the bride-to-be also got to have the brand new iPad that came with the box. Doubtless, rad_rob was able to gel up conventional proposal etiquette with the fruits of digital age rather well.
