At their mobile event facebook revealed a new version of the Facebook for iPhone app as well as for android.This new version brings support for Places, Groups and Improved Notifications. Also some bug fixes were solved.Facebook last made a major update to its iPhone app when it launched Places, and fixed a few bugs with a release in September.

The changes which Facebook 3.3.1 for iPhone brings is:

* Groups: share photos and posts with small groups of friends
* Deals: discover great deals around you
* Places: tag more friends after you check in, add photos
* Various bug fixes

Facebook app for Android version 1.4 is now available in Android Market, but let’s not forget about the iPhone. A few minutes after the announcement of Facebook 1.4 for Android, the 3.3.1 Facebook version was pushed for iPhone and is also available in AppStore and it’s absolutely free.Just hit this link to go to the download page.
