Earlier today, a number of users started reporting that they were unable to load their Facebook Timelines or profiles. The social network apparently returned an error on these pages, citing that the content could not be loaded properly. After a few hours of technical gimmickry however, Facebook has finally resolved the issue now.
For the individual users, the issue was experienced when trying to load the Profile page or the Timeline. Such users took to Twitter, complaining about the entire episode and calling upon Facebook to resolve it.
The exact error message that many users saw when trying to load their Profile stated, “Sorry, but this page didn’t load properly. Please try again.’ Such a problem has never been experienced on Facebook Profile pages before.
Interestingly, the malady also affected Brand Pages, many of which wouldn’t load content either. This further amplified the complains of the users who didn’t know what was going on. To placate the users, Facebook issued a brief statement which read, “We’ve received reports that some people are having trouble loading their Timeline and Pages content. We’re actively investigating this issue.”
Within a few hours of this statement, the social network was finally able to resolve the issue. After sorting out the error, a spokesperson for the company announced that, “Earlier today, we experienced an issue that prevented some people from loading Timeline or Pages content for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and content is back to normal. We’re sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused.”
