The Atlantic Cities has reported a Facebook-ian jacket, called Like-a-Hug, developed by MIT researchers. By wearing Like-a-Hug jacket, a Facebook account holder would feel someone is really hugging him/her, whenever his/her Facebook friends press “like” on his/her posts (it could be photo, comment, video or status update or something else). Want to know, how?
Like-A-Hug is a wearable social media vest. When Facebook friends of the vest wearer press ‘like’, the vest would be automatically filled in with air. This would make the vest wearer feel like someone is hugging him/her (jacket wearer) physically.
It’s a virtual hug, but the person receiving the hug would feel the real vibe/sensation of hugging. If the vest wearer wants to hug the ‘like’ presser virtually, he/she can also do that by squeezing the vest and deflating it.
