Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter. His paintings/arts are usually sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars. But the interesting thing is Banksy $200,000+ worthy original artworks has been sold for just $420.
Banksy does not sell photos of street graffiti directly himself. Rather it’s the art auctioneers who sell his street arts at different locations through bidding. However, lately a video has been revealed showing that this artist quietly organized an unassuming street stall in Central Park, New York, this Saturday from where a salesman sold original artworks worth tens of thousands of dollars for just $60 each.
The interesting thing is estimate says the total value of the arts sold was above $220,000, but all sold for just $420 only. Here’s the video where you will see an unknown older man is making his first sale mid-afternoon to a woman who buys two small canvasses for her children after negotiating a 50% discount.
