Takayanagi Co., a small Japanese automaker, has come up a retro-themed open-top, custom-made electric vehicle that hints at an unexpected luxuriousness in the same category as scooters with engine displacement of up to 50cc. The vehicle, dubbed Miluira, features about 90 percent components that have been made in Japan.
Miluira is Takayanagi first commercial 1 person EV car (Electric Vehicle). Only capable to accommodate one person the Miluira comes also in a rather unappealing “retro” design.
The single-seater vehicle is capable of traveling 35km on a single 12-hour charge using a common household socket. Costing about $75,400, the vehicle needs the driver to have a license for a car, not a motorcycle. Powered by lead acid batteries, the vehicle has a top speed of 60kph.

The full (Google-translated) spec rundown:

But whatever the Miluira’s technical shortcomings, its artistic merit scores are off the charts. It’s expected to ship next spring for around $75,000, which is fine by me; no way I’m driving this baby under anything but warm, sunny skies.
