Nokia Solar Powered Phones On Testing

It looks like just about everyone is interested in going green these days and Nokia wants in on the green bandwagon too as they have recently started a new project whereby four Nokia C1-02 devices with a solar panel attached to the back of it have been distributed to different parts of the world in different living conditions and environments to test the feasibility of a solar powered mobile phone. Nokia N9 MeeGo Phone Announced

Nokia unveiled its new N9 smartphone that runs the MeeGo operating system and is being marketed as a pure touch screen device without buttons. Nokia N9 comes with the usual options including HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS for navigation and the front face of the handset is almost completely made up of the screen, which is a 3.9-inch WVGA AMOLED display protected by a curved Corning Gorilla Glass surface. The chassis of the N9 is made of a polycarbonate material that is colored throughout, not just on the surface and the MeeGo OS will be its strategy for the next billion phones, primarily meant for the emerging markets. The smartphone has a UI that is designed to make use of different swipe gestures, a browser built on Webkit 2 technology, the latest Nokia Maps, Drive, Dolby Digital Plus support that turns any regular stereo audio into personal surround sound on any headphones, coming later this year…………

Rumor: Nokia Releasing Slide-Out QWERTY Windows Phone 7 Device

There is a Rumor of Nokia releasing Windows Phone 7 devices in Europe before the releasing of rest of the world. But we dont have any strong info or idea what the phones will be. Nokia Patent License Fees Will Be Paid By Apple

Apple agrees to pay Nokia patent license fees, lawsuits dropped and the specifics of the agreement are confidential, but Nokia does say that Apple will make a one-time payment followed by on-going royalties. The agreement consists of a one-time payment payable by Apple and on-going royalties to be paid by Apple to Nokia and the amount of the payments isn’t being disclosed, but the agreement will have a positive financial impact on Nokia’s devices and services business this quarter………..
