The way our eyes adjust to the simultaneous movement towards or away the object as focus is known as vengeance Accommodation. The display of a 3D phone is 3.5 inch on an average; a high eye focus is required to see the objects and adjust the distance of the object displayed as the objects appears in front of the screen rather than behind it. Researches revealed that the same high focus causes discomfort.
Apart from the eye problems and headaches, too much viewing of 3D phones and other similar displays can result into fatigue and tumor. The damage happens because the screen is generally help very close to the eyes. The result came when a research was conducted on a group of 24 adults. Now, they are looking to conduct a same type of research with a broader sample, especially children. The study also claims that the 3D Smartphone can cause more problems than the 3D cinemas.
The researches and claims started when LG launched its first 3D Smartphone Optimus 3D. The Optimus comes with Android and the users can capture their own 2D and 3D pictures and videos and view them on the 4.3-inch WVGA screen without wearing any glasses.
The spokespersons from LG simply denies the fact, they says that there is no evidence according to the AOA (American Optometric Association). However, LG has taken all the possible measures to
remove any kind of discomfort or harm from the phone, so that the LG Optimus users can have the best experience. It is developed with a cross-talk free display which can provide flicker free and bright images so that the users can immerse themselves completely in the diverse content of 3D. It also allows the user to adjust the 3D depth while playing games, enjoying movies or images and watching images.
This is not the first time that the 3D technology has received bad reviews. When Nintendo launched its first 3D gaming console, many users complained about queasiness. Now, the 3D Smartphone like LG Optimus and Evo 3D is sharing their part of criticism.
